摘要: (1) To describe ankle strength and postural stability in patients with chronic lateral instability (2) to analyse the correlation between deficits stability. Results of preoperative isokinetic balance tests 203 whose contralateral was normal were retrospectively reviewed. Isokinetic peak torque values eversion inversion at 2 angular velocities (30°/s 120°/s) measured injured ankles. In test, percent differences 3 actual scores (overall, anterior–posterior, medial–lateral) ankles calculated. Additional statistical analyses performed evaluate weakness strength, deficits, their correlation. Significant 4 relative (peak torque/body weight) found All 8 significantly lower Weakness severe during 30°/s. 49 subjects (24.1%) had significant 109 (53.7%) favourable results. No strong association Strength measurement alone is insufficient functional other are required measure The results this study provide further evidence for a rehabilitation programme consisting proprioceptive training as well strengthening. must be an integral part addition strengthening exercise. Case series, Level IV.
