摘要: Children starting their schooling were given a questionnaire asking about the occurrence of premature (before 50 years age in men, 55 women) coronary heart disease (CHD) first degree relatives. 1,920 2,069 questionnaires answered, 140 7-year-old children reported to have relative with CHD, 84 these families agreed participate our study. In 79 both child and parent at 'high risk' tested. initial test 19 had total cholesterol (TC) levels above 95th percentile (greater than 5.35 mmol/l). repeat 12 TC tests remained abnormal all also LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C) 3.40 None HDL-cholesterol or triglyceride levels. Among high risk parents, blood lipid tests. 10 parents LDL-C percentile. five conclusion, considerable proportion family histories CHD concentrations (in present study, 40 individuals high-risk families, if considered participate). Prevention should begin childhood when patterns life-style are developed. Identification by obtained as current study may be method choice.
