Crystal structure redetermination of ε-Ni3Si2 from a single nanowire by dynamical refinement of precession electron diffraction data

摘要: Abstract Accurate crystal structure of single nanocrystals as small tens nanometers can be obtained by the recently published full dynamical refinement precession electron diffraction tomography (PEDT) data. Here we apply method to redetermination nickel silicide e -Ni 3 Si 2 from a nanowire with diameter 35 nm. The was determined centrosymmetric Cmcm , in disagreement structure, which X-ray 1961 noncentrosymmetric space group Cmc2 1 . also (SCXRD), giving same results PEDT. average difference atomic positions between models PEDT and SCXRD smaller than 0.007 A.
