Cross Segment Decoding of HEVC for Network Video Applications

摘要: In this paper, we present an improved algorithm for decoding video bitstreams with time-varying visual quality. The extracts information available to the decoder from a high quality segment of clip that has already been received and decoded, but was encoded independently current lower segment. proposed is capable significantly improving Quality Experience user without incurring significant delays overhead storage computational complexities both encoder decoder, or loss coding efficiency. We simulation results using HEVC reference standard test clips, discuss areas improvements algorithm.
