Coating of Al2O3 on layered Li(Mn1/3Ni1/3Co1/3)O2 using CO2 as green precipitant and their improved electrochemical performance for lithium ion batteries

摘要: Abstract Li(Mn 1/3 Ni Co )O 2 cathode materials were fabricated by a hydroxide precursor method. Al O 3 was coated on the surface of through simple and effective one-step electrostatic self-assembly In coating process, NHCO -H CO buffer formed spontaneously when introduced into NaAlO solution. Compared with bare M , surface-modified samples exhibited better cycling performance, rate capability retention. The -coated electrodes delivered discharge capacity about 115 mAh·g −1 at A·g but only 84 for one. retention 90.7% after 50 cycles, 30% higher than that pristine
