摘要: BACKGROUND. Lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (LPHL) is a rare, CD20-positive, good prognostic in children. Patients with early-stage LPHL who underwent successful surgical lymph node resection alone have been reported. To clarify the optimum treatment strategy children, European study groups were asked to report their experience of surgery used pediatric LPHL. METHODS. Data from 58 patients collected by French Society for Pediatric Cancers, German-Austrian Study Group/German Oncology and Hematology (Germany), Children's Cancer Leukaemia Group (United Kingdom). In total, there 50 boys 8 girls, median age was 11 years (age range, 4-17 years). Fifty-four had stage IA disease, 2 IIA IIIA disease. RESULTS. With follow-up 43 months (range, 2-202 months), overall survival rate 100%, progression-free (PFS) 57%. Fifty-one achieved complete remission (CR) after surgery. CR group, PFS 67% (95% confidence interval, 51-82%). All seven residual disease initial developed recurrences (P = .003). Among 18 recurrent local recurrences, 7 recurred IIA. One patient presented high-grade B-cell non-Hodgkin at 10 follow-up. CONCLUSIONS. When achieved, substantial proportion surgically treated, experienced long-term actually may cured. 2007. © 2007 American Society.
