摘要: Carbachol (10(-4) M), a cholinergic secretagogue, significantly increased the ouabain-sensitive uptake of 86Rb by rat parotid gland slices. This effect was blocked omission Ca from bathing medium. When extracellular Na decreased 125 to 5 mM, carbachol reversed (86Rb decreased). Increasing intracellular (by incubation in medium lacking K) produced significant stimulation influx. A role for response suspected, and so metabolism, 22Na slices characterized. The 60-minute distribution could be described three kinetic components; one (0.315 ml/g, tau = 1.94 minutes) two (0.075 7.63 minutes 0.017 58.4 minutes). enhanced into components (primarily 7.63-minute component). required These observations explained assuming that receptor activation stimulates influx which turn enhances uptake. resulting elevated acts stimulate activity Na,K pump.
