摘要: It is well established that HIV infection can lead to motor/cognitive disorders in humans. A number of studies have shown simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) rhesus macaques parallels many aspects disease The purpose this study was define further the SIV-infected macaque as a model neuro-AIDS. Our objective detect movement-related impairments behaviorally trained, using both simple and choice reaction time tasks. Reaction times (RTs), movement (MTs), error types were examined. Nine monkeys infected with neurovirulent strains SIVmac, four which served initially controls before their inoculation. Seven nine developed AIDS within 4 months inoculation (rapid progressors), while two survived for more than 1 year postinoculation (slow progressors).
