摘要: Abstract An aluminum-yttrium (Al–Y) layer was deposited on porous thermal barrier coatings using a magnetron sputtering technique. The excellent mechanical properties of the resulting composite coating can be attributed to dense Al–Y layer, which completely sealed surface ZrO2-8%Y2O3 (YSZ) NiCoCrAlY while providing relatively smooth and good adhesion. This double-layer design ensured that as-sprayed YSZ coating's interior texture retained low level conductivity. In addition, oxidation penetration channels caused by open voids in were effectively eliminated. According X-ray powder diffraction pattern, added Y element from compensated for loss yttrium oxide thus constantly stabilizing cubic ZrO2 phase. As result, growth at MCrAlY interface prevented protective associated oxides.
