摘要: OBJECTIVE Only a few studies have dealt with the association of metabolic syndrome depression and anxiety. We studied whether its components are associated depressive anxiety symptoms in young adult population cohort. METHODS This study forms part Northern Finland 1966 Birth Cohort Study. The sample consists 5,698 members cohort who participated field 1997 to 1998. Metabolic was defined according five criteria National Cholesterol Education Program. Depressive were by Hopkins Symptom Checklist-25 questionnaire. RESULTS not or correlations between psychological distress as continuous measures low. High waist circumference (>102 cm males >88 females) (odds ratio, 1.30; 95% confidence interval, 1.05-1.61), but this vanished when adjusted for gender, smoking, alcohol consumption, marital status, level education, physical activity. CONCLUSION No clear found distress.
