摘要: BACKGROUND:Psoriasis is an inflammatory long-term condition involving comorbidities, unhealthy lifestyle and significant life impact. Patients' understanding of psoriasis limited support lacking. The Common-Sense Model Self-Regulation Health Illness emphasizes the role illness treatment beliefs on coping self-management. New 'Pso Well® ' patient materials informed by model, addressed as a condition, medication management behaviours. OBJECTIVES:To investigate whether Pso (i) broaden without increasing anxiety; (ii) are acceptable; (iii) comprise features that appear to effect change. METHODS:The Revised Perceptions Questionnaire (IPQ-R modified) Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale (HADS) were administered in patients before after intervention. Numerical rating scales assessed perceptions change anxiety resulting from engagement with materials. Qualitative interviews explored acceptability perceived 'active ingredients'. RESULTS:Fifty-five completed pre- postintervention questionnaires (56% female; median age 59 years).
