摘要: The dusky grouper, Epinephelus marginatus, is a well-known and widespread marine fish assessed as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Analyzing genetic diversity this species is, therefore, utmost importance necessary conservation purposes. Microsatellites are molecular tools with advantages that ideal population analyses. This study provides first set species-specific microsatellite loci E. marginatus can be applied when assessing both intra- interpopulation variation. Twenty were isolated characterized grouper genotyping 20 individuals obtained from North Eastern Atlantic Ocean (n = 4) South Western 16). number alleles per locus varied 2 to 11, while observed expected heterozygosities ranged 0.25 0.94 0.34 0.89, respectively. polymorphic information content moderately highly informative. suite markers specific nuclear and, thus, allows assess more specificity different populations' structures.
