Self-focusing of a high-intensity laser in a collisional plasma under weak relativistic-ponderomotive nonlinearity

摘要: Self-focusing a laser beam in collisional plasma is investigated under the weak relativistic-ponderomotive nonlinearity. In this case, equilibrium density modified and it causes generation of nonlinearity due to Ohmic heating electrons, collisions, force during interaction with plasma. Our theoretical simulation results show that significant self-focusing can occur regime for some appropriate parameters.
