摘要: Background Our aim is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of two treatment strategies, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) plus simultaneous versus staged cytoreductive surgery (CRS) in patients with occult peritoneal metastasis gastric cancer (GC). Methods We retrospectively reviewed 26 GC who were potential curatively resectable by pre-operative evaluation found diagnostic laparoscopy. Patients treated HIPEC either CRS (CRS+HIPEC group, n = 11) or after systematic (HIPEC+Chemo+CRS n = 15). Results There no mortality observed both groups. The complications group comparable (P = 0.683), 26.7% (4/15) HIPEC+Chemo+CRS 36.4% (4/11) CRS+HIPEC respectively. compliance undergoing subsequent higher (93.3%, 14/15) than that (45.5%, 5/11) (P = 0.021). mean interval time between first post-CRS 42.0 ± 12.0 days 69.8 ± 36.3 (P = 0.163), median OS was 25.0 months, while 28.2 months (P = 0.738). Conclusion For laparoscopic findings metastasis, better tolerance CRS. J. Surg. Oncol. 2015 111:840–847. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
