摘要: Male adult rats were fed on diets containing 80 g/kg galactomannans with different galactose (G): mannose (M) ratios/kg. The compared purified cellulose (Solkaflok) and the animals also a basal diet free from fibre. All contained cholesterol (10 g/kg) sodium cholate (2 g/kg). three fenugreek gum (1G:1M), guar (1G:2M) locust-bean (1G:4M). In comparison fibre-free Solkaflok diets, all lowered concentrations of in both liver blood plasma. decreased rate hepatic synthesis cholesterol. Dietary increased caecal volatile fatty acids, particularly propionic, weight caecum its contents amount water faeces. increase propionic acid production was significantly related to decrease pH, but not changes plasma or synthesis. These effects influenced by chemical composition structure galactomannan; they most evident when proportion galactomannan highest (i.e. gum). differed markedly their viscosity digesta, which gave least effective lowering A separate experiment perfused loops small intestine vivo showed that galactomannan, gum, had no direct effect absorption.
