摘要: Over the last two decades, prevalence of obesity has risen worldwide. As is a confirmed risk factor for number diseases, its increasing nurtures supposition that may present growing and significant economic burden to society. The objective this study analyse correlation between body mass index (BMI) future direct indirect costs, as well changing BMI in(direct) costs. Health care utilisation productivity losses were based on data from 2581 participants aged 25-65 years (1994/95) cross-sectional, population-representative health surveys (MONICA/KORA-survey-S3 1994/95 follow-up KORA-survey-F3 2004/05) in Augsburg, Germany. predicted average adjusted total costs per year user estimated be €1029-(healthy weight), €1093-(overweight) €1040-(obesity). There are significantly greater general practitioners at higher levels (€72; €75; €96). person those who stay same class €982, €1000 €973. An overweight participant becomes obese incurs internists €160 compared with remain (€124). €2474, €2136 healthy weight. trend (in)direct when people or weight persons 10 earlier. Potential cost savings could attained if preventive programs effectively targeted these individuals.
