摘要: There is not only evidence for behavioral differences in voice perception between female and male listeners, but also recent suggestions neural correlates genders. The fMRI functional localizer (comprising a univariate analysis contrasting stimulation with vocal versus non-vocal sounds) known to give robust estimates of the temporal areas (TVAs). However there growing interest employing multivariate approaches data (e.g. pattern analysis; MVPA). aim current study was localize voice-related both listeners investigate whether brain maps may differ depending on gender listener. In addition, MVPA whole-brain searchlight approach implemented classification entered into second-level permutation based models using statistical non-parametric mapping (SnPM; Nichols & Holmes 2002). Our results suggest classifier performance genders response higher accuracy from local BOLD signal patterns several temporal-lobe listeners.
