摘要: There is not only evidence for behavioral differences in voice perception between female and male listeners, but also recent suggestions neural correlates genders. The fMRI functional localizer (comprising a univariate analysis contrasting stimulation with vocal versus non-vocal sounds) known to give robust estimates of the temporal areas (TVAs). However there growing interest employing multivariate approaches data (e.g. pattern analysis; MVPA). aim current study was localize voice-related both listeners investigate whether brain maps may differ depending on gender listener. After analysis, random effects performed (n = 149) 123) contrasts them were computed. In addition, MVPA whole-brain searchlight approach implemented classification entered into second-level permutation based models using statistical non-parametric mapping (SnPM; Nichols & Holmes 2002). Gender found MVPA. Identified regions located middle part gyrus (bilateral) superior (right hemisphere). Our results suggest classifier performance genders response higher accuracy from local BOLD signal patterns several temporal-lobe listeners.
