摘要: This study provides the first decadally resolved chironomid and organic geochemistry record of Irish Neolithic from a small lake adjacent to Carrowkeel-Keshcorran complex in County Sligo, Ireland. Chironomid (non-biting midge fly) sub-fossils sediment (δ13C, δ15N C:N) Templevanny Lough core were used assess timing magnitude within-lake responses farming activity. When compared with pollen macroscopic charcoal records same core, limnological data show direct influence prehistoric on freshwater system through nutrient loading eutrophication.
