摘要: To prevent incidents in which surgical items are retained a patient’s body, unique device system (UDS) of instruments the operation room is required. In our previous study, we developed with radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags and UDS antenna to assign each instrument room. The purposes present study were evaluate recognition accuracy during surgery determine usage rate preoperatively prepared instruments. experiments conducted four inguinal hernia surgeries. data acquisition was 97.7%. one cause that decreased this by 2.3% occasional placement RFID outside radio communication range antenna. However, when moved nurse returned antenna, could detect all surgery, maintained scrub nurses placed on unconsciously. total 50.0%. Thus, half not used underwent repeated sterilization washing process. These exposed high pressure temperature, increasing risk defects. described herein can clarify these rates help optimize number before surgery.
