Cogan's syndrome: an oculo-audiovestibular disease

摘要: Typical Cogan's syndrome is a rare disease of young adults consisting flares interstitial keratitis and sudden onset Meniere-like attacks (nausea, vomiting, tinnitus, vertigo hearing loss). Life-threatening aortic insufficiency develops in 10% reported cases. Atypical (audiovestibular dysfunction with other types inflammatory eye disease) associated vasculitis 20% cases has less favourable prognosis than typical syndrome.
