Induction Motor Drives

摘要: At present, induction motor drives are the most mature technology among various commutatorless drives. There two types of machines (IMs): wound-rotor and squirrel-cage. This chapter discusses drives, including their system configurations, IMs, power inverters, control strategies. three main strategies for drives: variable-voltage variable-frequency (VVVF) control, field-oriented (FOC), direct torque (DTC). The motors electric propulsion is principally similar to that industrial application. When vehicles (EV) adopt single-motor configuration, generally designed high-speed operation while using a planetary gear step down speed so as match with wheel speed. Ford Siemens EV was one well-developed EVs.
