摘要: An environmentally sustainable alternative is the use of biodiesel, fuel made from oil crops, recycled vegetable oils and fats. This research was focused on fruit palm Elaeis guineensis. The extracted characterized physic chemically having a pulp yield 51.91%, free fatty acid 27.48%, iodine value 52.29 cgI2/g, peroxide 31.3 meq/kg, density 0.9031 g/cm 3 refractive index 1.4541. In biodiesel 3.8%, 90.03 6.46 0.8603 , 1.4588. FTIR spectroscopic characterization for evidenced by vibration band at 1743.29 cm -1 characteristics methyl esters. Mass spectrometry showed signal m/z 270, corresponding to molecular ion (C17H34O2 + ), obtained palmitic acid, which presents (C16 H32O2 ) 256.
