摘要: This article presents the limitations of current climate-related disaster risk reduction policies that do not incorporate underlying conditions in urban areas like Mumbai. It argues climate risks exist at intersection changing nature extreme events due to changes (physical risk); presence people, infrastructure, and resources locations where these are occurring (exposure); inability exposed communities reduce losses or cope with them (vulnerability) simultaneous socioeconomic political stresses. Hence, concludes it is critical apply a broader approach understand workings processes affect all components contribute production vulnerability society.
