摘要: The increasing number of the so called “non-standard” designs in architecture, enabled by development digital tools design, analysis, and fabrication, poses new questions for engineering part building process. explicit design decisions required to define constructive details a non-repetitive structure can be overwhelming. This paper illustrates three examples that use methods from field artificial-life reduce organise complex non-regular structures: “forest columns” Groningen Stadsbalkon, construction an adaptive quad-mesh CAAD Swissbau Pavilion, optimisation large irregular roof structure.
