摘要: Abstract Over the past decades, impulse oscillometry (IOS) has gained ground in battery of pulmonary function tests. Performing test requires minimal cooperation patient; therefore, it is a useful tool, especially evaluating lung mechanics children, elderly patients, and those who cannot perform spirometry. Oscillometry also been used both clinical research departments. Studies were published mainly asthma regarding detection bronchodilator response therapeutic to different drugs. Furthermore, shown be sensitive technique evaluate disease control. Other studied diseases COPD, interstitial diseases, small airway disease, impairment due exposure occupational hazards or smoking, central airways obstruction, cystic fibrosis, monitoring during mechanical ventilation sleep, neuromuscular transplant, graft function. The aim this review present utility on previously mentioned fields.
