摘要: The rising awareness of energy consumption and the environmental impact manufacturing underline need to implement structured approaches, such as a life cycle assessment, or metrics for process evaluation. Energy savings on their own are not sufficient increase efficiency industrial finishing operations, since results, in terms machined part quality, have be accounted for. research work presented this paper applies sustainable development concepts an case study. A shaping grinding (a flute operation tap manufacturing) has been assessed experimentally. effects variations parameters discussed, with respect processing time, consumption, product quality/integrity. Whenever optimization goals contrast, trade-off between requirements sustainability introduced. In order achieve savings, without altering performance product, specific indicator implemented coupled inventory phase. results provide tool that can assist decision-making stage incorporated into business strategy framework.
