摘要: Purpose: To evaluate acute hypersensitivity reactions at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center in San Diego, compare our findings to those reported previously literature, and examine effectiveness of objective grading scale as represented by Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE). Patients Methods: Using available pharmacy electronic medical record data from 2006-2010, we examined (HSRs) using CTCAE v.3.0 v.4.0. A thorough literature review was also performed with reported. Results: We found 222 cases HSRs, which 50% were due immunotherapeutics. Most grade 1 or 2 any criteria. The clinical presentation HSRs varied between drug classes. different versions schema led inconsistencies ~50% all HSRs. Fifty-two percent not blood products rechallenged on same day. HSR frequencies each causative agent showed a striking variability, possibly indicating that previous studies used wide variety reporting systems adverse events. Conclusion: are common practice, most mild moderate. There studies. existence several subjective definitions could be contributing poor generalizability. Along an improved system minimize underreporting, standard objectively assessing is necessary purposes research practice.
