摘要: Deriving a measure of efficiency public-funded organizations (primarily not-for-profit organizations) and ranking these measures have been major subjects debate discussion. The purpose this paper is to evaluate the relative performances research development (RD following input variables – amount grants received from parent body, number scientific personnel working in public RD National Renewable Energy Laboratory, USA; Fritz Haber Institute Max Planck Society, Germany; Centre for Atmospheric Research, Oak Ridge USA. study indicates suggested set targets achieve best possible performance NPL other R&D organizations. In most cases efficient local but not so global scores indicate that, on an average, actual scale production has diverged productive size.,The approach highlights utilization DEA methodology assessment comparators. discriminatory analysis brought into sharp focus dichotomy between units issues size regional disparities. outcome dependent upon correct selection output data availability.,The results profound implications management institutions across nations similar-focused streams, functioning within different societal, economic, political contexts.,The present work, being perhaps one few multinational studies pubic-funded similar signifies relevance such field R&D/innovation management. This opened up new avenues further area.
