摘要: Abstract Fusion for Energy (F4E), the European Union’s Domestic Agency ITER, is responsible procurement of about 50% ITER blanket first wall (FW), called normal heat flux FW. A strategy has been implemented by In-Vessel Project Team at F4E aimed mitigating technical and commercial risks FW panels, promoting as far possible competition among industrial partners. This supported an extensive Research Development (R&D) programme, over more than 15 years in Europe, to develop various fabrication technologies. It includes particular manufacture testing small-scale, medium-scale mock-ups full-scale prototypes panels. In this R&D significant efforts have devoted development a reliable materials joining technique. Hot Isostatic Pressing was selected panels made from beryllium, copper–chromium–zirconium alloy 316L(N)-IG austenitic stainless steel. paper presents main outcome on-going latest results qualification programme together with supply contribution
