摘要: In the debate that has developed over theoretical program of mortuary analysis presented by Saxe (1970) and Binford (1971) 20 years ago, great stress been laid on limitations to their goal identifying social factors underlying differences in material treatment dead. Critics often raise objection search for features organization archaeological manifestations ritually dominated practices (Hodder 1982; Pearson Shanks Tilley 1982). Ritual is portrayed as obeying different rules, hence demanding separate lines argument. Lost sight long-acknowledged effect scale complexity range ritual (Durkheim 1915).
