Can Ophthalmologists Correctly Identify Patients Defaulting from Pilocarpine Therapy

摘要: We determined whether clinical measurements and assessments available to ophthalmologists could be used identify patients who default from pilocarpine treatment. The included intraocular pressure, pupillary diameter, reactivity light, the patient's report of compliance, physician's prediction log administration, weight eyedrops utilized. Compliance with regimen was measured an unobtrusive eyedrop medication monitor. Intraocular pressure diameter did not correlate compliance as by Pupillary reaction a daily utilized, correlated modestly monitor (range correlations, 0.19 0.24). However, none these measures taken itself or combined in any manner adequately distinguished lower rates those higher compliance. At present, is only reliable method for detecting
