摘要: The timely precise information of land use cover (LULC) in the canal command area can help managing irrigation water according to crop requirement. A study was conducted map LULC irrigated three distributaries lower Chenab system, Pakistan, namely Mungi, Killianwala and Khurrianwala for estimation deficit (CWD). Multispectral images LANDSAT-7 were used Rabi season 2009–2010 2010–2011. Normalized difference vegetation index-based unsupervised classification performed formation commands area. During initial classification, totally nine clusters created with maximum likelihood. These then merged into final four classes on basis field knowledge. Accuracy assessment using error matrix; producer user accuracies estimated each class overall accuracy 84% 86% 2010–2011, respectively. For demand, potential evapotranspiration Penman–Monteith equation. Crop requirement based 10-day Kc value mapped from LULC. Irrigation demand cropped evapotranspiration. Canal available supply season. seasons, average CWD 64%, 72% 32% (2009–2010) 33%, 46% 36% (2010–2011) Khurrianwala, Mungi distributary,
