摘要: Trace amounts of enzymes within single human erythrocytes can be quantified by a combination on-column reaction and capillary electrophoresis. A detection limit 1.3 x 10[sup [minus]21] mol LDH was achieved with laser-induced fluorescence monitoring the product enzyme-catalyzed between lactate NAD[sup +]. Single erythrocyte analysis clearly isolates major forms LDH. The variation total activity in population cells from individual is large, but relative activities isoenzymes LDH-1 LDH-2 are fairly constant. This explained distribution cell age population. lower enzyme indicative senescence. efficient separation different high sensitivity opens up possibility multiple-enzyme assays mammalian cell. 41 refs., 5 figs.
