摘要: Abstract This paper examines the performance and emission characteristics of biodiesel produced from edible oil source (palm) non-edible (Jatropha) compared that with fossil diesel fuel. Only 20% palm Jatropha (described by PB20 JB20 respectively) were examined because it has been suggested commercial company up to can be used in a engine without any modification. The physical chemical properties & are also presented fuel (B0). these fuels their emissions measured multi-cylinder at different speeds full load condition. test results indicated both produces slightly lower brake powers higher specific consumption Engine reduces average carbon monoxide (CO) hydrocarbons (HC). However, increases nitric oxides (NO) Although have better than biodiesel, should unmodified engines meet global energy demand reduce into atmosphere does not create food versus conflict.
