Indicators of the appropriateness of long-term prescribing in general practice in the United Kingdom: consensus development, face and content validity, feasibility, and reliability.

摘要: OBJECTIVES: To develop valid, reliable indicators of the appropriateness long-term prescribing in general practice medical records United Kingdom. DESIGN: A nominal group was used to identify potential prescribing. Their face and content validity were subsequently assessed a two round Delphi exercise. Feasibility reliability between raters evaluated for which consensus reached suitable application. PARTICIPANTS: The comprised disciplinary mix nine opinion leaders prominent academics field panel composed 100 practitioners community pharmacists. RESULTS: resulted 20 items refined produce 34 statements Consensus on 30, from 13 application produced. These applied by independent 49 purposively sampled patients one practice. Nine showed acceptable raters. CONCLUSIONS: 9 produced record any patient long term medication Kingdom Although use has limitations, this is currently only available method assess patient's drug regimen its entirety.
