摘要: The paper reviews advances in our understanding of the vectorial capacity and vector-parasite relationship Kenyan sandflies since early 1900s (when were first reported Kenya). Of 38 species known to occur Kenya date, three (Phlebotomus pedifer, P. martini duboscqi) can naturally carry biochemically serologically confirmed Leishmania (aethiopica, donovani major, respectively) 12 rhodhaini, Sergentomyia garnhami, S. squamipleuris, africanus, kirki, ingrami, antennatus, bedfordi, schwetzi, affinis, graingeri clydei) various flagellates or unknown character.
