摘要: Abstract This paper is relevant to the matter of high-velocity launch a projectile by small scale system that might be used initiate high explosive (HE) or in shock phenomenology work. A small-scale launcher was designed detonation HE, function selectively based on inputs, and easily integrated into larger system. Under these design constraints mass volume had minimized while retaining robust function. The basic goal drive flyer critical velocities will produce shock-to-detonation (SDT) upon impact. propelled compression polystyrene buffer pressures greater than 20 GPa. entire assembly less 8 cm length 1.5 diameter. 0.6 launched at 2.4 km/s maintained flight stability. Launcher SDT response due impact were modelled using CTH computer simulations.
