摘要: The measurement of reflection from an open-ended waveguide is a simple and nondestructive technique for determining the dielectric properties materials. A flange-mounted considered, flange being pressed on unknown material which may be finite or infinite thickness. relationship linking coefficient to obtained theoretical analysis electromagnetic field in vicinity aperture. theory includes effects both cross polarization higher order modes. An integral equation obtained, kernel dyadic Green function each medium. method characteristic modes used numerical computation. results are good agreement with experimental measurements. Futhermore, handy data inversion provided.
