摘要: In the previous two chapters, I have analysed behaviour and strategies of ordinary villagers VC candidates in village elections. argued that within community, today still tend to behave like clients, depending, a greater or lesser extent, on small number patrons who own wealth, power, various resources outside connections. elections, candidates, rise from ranks patrons, solicit votes through range means, but especially their patron-client relations. this chapter, will discuss other important actors elections—local state officials—often themselves leaders candidates.
