Closed-eruption surgical technique for impacted maxillary incisors: A postorthodontic periodontal evaluation*******

摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical appearance and pulpal periodontal status impacted maxillary central incisors that had been exposed aligned after a closed-eruption surgical technique. Twenty-one patients were examined 4.5 years (median) postretention. treated showed no significant differences in plaque gingival indexes, widths attached gingiva, crown lengths, whereas small, but statistically significant, increase found mean pocket depth compared with contralateral incisors. bone support reduced by 5% 6% teeth, and, one third cases, an abnormal contour recorded. lateral revealed similar indexes depths on each side, immediately adjacent tooth decreased keratinized gingiva increased lengths. Even though some parameters measured, overall consequences conservative exposure orthodontic alignment technique are minimal.
