摘要: Psychiatry, with the rest of medicine, has entered age molecular genetics, but we are far from stage diagnosis or treatment. Some disorders such as Alzheimer’s Disease Huntington’s yielding relatively quickly to technological advances in whereas others like schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder more likely have a complex inheritance. These latter do not appear be explained by classic Mendelian models An alternative is polygenic which assume that genes found at than one locus responsible for familial patterns disorders. In models, range loci may small additive effects on individual’s predisposition an illness, schizophrenia. It also possible some forms schizophrenia result simpler combinations even single gene.
