摘要: Continuum mechanics has been used to work out the structure and properties of disclinations in nematic cholesteric liquid crystals. After a brief review earlier works on energetics one constant approximation, we consider effect elastic anisotropy. Elastic anisotropy not only alters energies director patterns individual defects, but appears favor presence wedge disclination nematics preference twist disclinations. Disclination interactions are also considerably affected. The radial force interaction can be worked terms single defect solutions. In addition, there arise angular forces between defects We next helicoidal pairings χ-screw type. reanalyze solutions coarse-grained approximation.
