摘要: The numerical study of the mechanical responses amorphous materials at nanometer scale shows characteristic length scales that are larger than intrinsic microstructure. In this article, we review different appearing upon athermal elastoplastic load and relate it to a detailed vibrational response. We compare with microstructures bond directionality (from Lennard–Jones model silicon silicate glasses). This work suggests experimental measurements could help understand and, if possible, predict plastic deformation in glasses.
