Electron injection in laser wake-field acceleration by using near critical layers

摘要: Abstract A method for enhancing trapped electrons in the laser wake-field acceleration dilute plasma is proposed. In this method, a thin layer with near critical density placed front of plasma. Upon interaction short and high power pulse, relatively large number are injected Some these transmitted pulse. Particle cell simulation used to demonstrate method. Simulations showed that addition increasing electrons, mechanism also reduces energy broadening.
