摘要: A mechanical seal surrounding a rotary shaft to prevent fluid (i.e., liquid or gas) from flowing across the seal, including rotatable ring that includes face, where is around rotational axis of shaft, and stationary spatially fixed relative having face engage form about 1% 30%, by weight, graphite, 70% 98%, polytetrafluoroethylene. Also, graphite containing teflon sealing used first capable engaging second on seal. The may include polytetrafluoroethylene, optionally, non-graphite carbon.
