摘要: Abstract Ag@TiO2 nanoparticle thin film was fabricated for photoelectrochemical water splitting in the visible light region. Under irradiation of UV light, positive photocurrent enhanced both electrolytes 0.1 M HNO3 and NaOH owing to excitation photoelectrons within TiO2 shells. However, under enhancement observed only because formation a Schottky barrier band bending at Ag–TiO2 core-shell interface the generation resulted from surface plasmon resonance Ag cores. In NaOH, significant negative due influences higher pH on state energy level Such light-induced photoresponse direction switching made useful not as photoelectrode but also photo-switch basic electrolyte.
