摘要: Abstract Glomus tumors of the temporal bone are histologically benign neoplasms with destructive potential related to their patterns growth and extension. Understanding these routes invasion assists otolaryngologist head neck surgeon in predicting cranial neuropathies planning surgical approaches. The low incidence makes comparison between different modes treatment difficult. This article presents approaches used resection glomus tympanicum jugulare tumors. Data from recent long-term follow-up series patients treated external beam radiation therapy, either primarily or following subtotal tumors, also reviewed. Final selection a therapeutic approach must be individualized as there no universally agreed on criteria for choosing among options.
