摘要: Fractional flow reserve (FFR) measurements can determine the haemodynamic relevance of coronary artery stenoses. Current guidelines recommend their use in lesions absence non-invasive proof ischaemia. The prognostic impact FFR has been evaluated randomised trials, and it shown that revascularisation be safely deferred if is >0.80, while stenoses with values ≤0.80 results significantly lower event rates compared to medical treatment. Left main stenoses, aorto-ostial lesions, as well patients left ventricular hypertrophy severely-impaired ejection fraction, have excluded from large, trials. While are relatively straightforward perform, uncertainty about procedural logistics, data acquisition interpretation specific situations, could explain why they not widely used clinical practice. We summarise support measurements, provide recommendations for performing interpreting procedure.
