摘要: Postweaning, feedlot, and carcass data from crossbred calves sired by five Bos indicus breeds one taurus breed were evaluated. Data included records F 1 out of multiparous Hereford cows Angus, Gray Brahman, Gir, Indu-Brazil, Nellore, Red Brahman bulls. The Zebu crosses grew faster postweaning heavier taller as yearlings than the Angus (P<.05). Among Zebu-sired calves, gaining at a year age Nellore. Nellore significantly Brahman- Gir-sired crosses; Indu-Brazil intermediate. lightest on off feed but not different heaviest similar in initial weight, InduBrazil to for final weight. cross was more desirable (P<.05) marbling score quality grade, although had most grade crosses. Gir higher skeletal maturity scores carcasses lighter or Brahman-cross greatest actual fat thickness, different. Yield lowest Angus. highest yield grades, These results indicate that no major differences exist among these characteristics
