摘要: The incidence of head injury has risen in recent years and now accounts for almost one-third acute male surgical admissions to the Western Infirmary, Glasgow. A prospective study established that Glasgow alcohol is a major associated factor, 62% males 27% females having detectable levels blood (greater than 5 mg/100 ml); these patients mean level was 193 ml men 165 women. significantly higher who had 'a fall under influence', or been victims an assault, those involved traffic other accidents.
